Conifer Class
Welcome to Conifer Class!
We are wonderful class of 19 Year 5 and Year 6 children. Our teacher is Mrs Partington and Mrs Elsworth and Miss Coates are our teaching assistants, along with Mrs Cozens on Fridays. Mrs Skinner joins the team on Wednesday mornings for Y6 SATs tutoring.
Conifer Class is a very hardworking class. We are friendly to everyone and try our best to always respect ourselves, those around us and our environment. We enjoy all aspects of our curriculum and are all very proud of what we achieve learning together.
This term, our enquiry question is Why do we need to adapt and change? We will be covering science objectives about living things and their habitats as well as evolution and inheritance.
We will enhance our theme in Whole Class Reading when we will study The Boy in the Tower by Polly Ho-Yen. Alongside this, we will enjoy a daily class read-aloud which is Kensuke's Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo.
As well as our learning theme, we will continue with daily Maths and English lessons and regular slots for all curriculum subjects.
Our PE days are on Wednesday and Friday each week.
