Today you are going to be very busy, securing your fractions skills, improving times tables recall, learning about grammar, improving your reading skills, learning about biomes and recapping some RE. It sounds like a lot, but time will fly by, I'm sure. Years 4 and 5, I would like you to play the equivalent fractions game (Year 6 can play it too, once they've finished their work). As well as the tasks below, you need to complete 10 garage games and 1 studio game on TTRockstars.

Your work today follows on from your grammar and geography that you started yesterday. Remember to write your answers on paper. There is also a Hindu Gods reading comprehension.  Select the best level of challenge - Year 6 should all do the harder option with 3 stars. The Y4/5 maths group have a White Rose sheet to show off their counting in fractions skills. Year 5 have a Powerpoint to help with their work on comparing and ordering fractions greater than one and Year 6 are comparing and ordering fractions using the numerator. The video can be found in the same place as yesterday. Don't forget your TTRockstars and prefixes work too.

Here is your work for today. The English and Geography links document has your work for the rest of this week - I hope you will enjoy a slightly different way of working with the video lessons. For maths today, I would like the Year 4 and Year 5 group to count infractions and there is a powerpoint presentation to help you with this. For the rest of Year 5, please compare and order fractions less than one. Again, there is a powerpoint to help you get started. Year 6,  you will be comparing and ordering fractions using the denominator. It's important to use the video lesson alongside the task. You can find that here: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/week-9-number-fractions/ .

Here is today's work. The Year 4/5 maths group can try any two of the three tasks, Year 5 should do fraction sequences and Year 6 should do the number line task. Year 6, if you find your task tricky, try the sequences task first. There is a video for your lesson here: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-6/week-9-number-fractions/ . I would also like you to log in to TTRockstars and play 10 Garage games and one Studio game. Please keep a record of your coins or scores in your homework diary.

Today is the last writing lesson in our unit of work on The Firework Maker's Daughter, then we will write your independent story once we return to school - I can't wait! You will also find three sets of spelling tasks about the prefixes sub, mis and dis. If you complete one sheet per day, that will help you better than if you complete the whole lot in one go.

Here is your work for today. If you can access our Google Classroom, you can also see and hand in your work there.

The Year 4/5 maths group should complete the equivalent fractions work and the Year 5/6 group should complete the improper fractions tasks for their year group. There is a poster that will help you as well.

I can't wait to see your Anti-Bullying posters and the next part of your story.
