Learning Mentors
Mrs Loach is our school’s Learning Mentor based @West Huntspill and Mrs Moffatt is our Learning Mentor based @East Huntspill. They can work with small groups and/or with individual children depending on the child’s specific needs.The role of a Learning Mentor is to support the needs of children who may be experiencing difficulties either at school or at home which are stopping them from learning effectively. By working together with children and families we hope to overcome these barriers and help all of our children to reach their full potential. Mrs Loach is ELSA trained and in the process of becoming a Thrive practitioner.

Our Learning Mentors are here to listen, offer support, build resilience and work with children to improve their confidence and self-esteem. If you feel your child could benefit from some support, please contact the school office. We have an open door policy and are always here to listen.
